State of THE Quilt

With nothing on the knitting needles, I've recommitted to my committment to create this Double Wedding Ring quilt. (aka, THE Quilt.) Peeking inside the DWR quilt box, things don't appear to have changed much in the last several months. But, my burst of new energy this week has resulted in reaching a milestone of sorts.

Drumroll, please.

I'm pleased to report that half of the "footballs" are done.

Yep. I've pieced 90 footballs. See 'em there in the upper left corner? Just 90 to go. Then, I'll start piecing the footballs to the yellow "centers". And, there are only 81 of them!

That's progress, albiet slow. I just flipped through the blog and discovered this was the state of DWR affairs a year ago.

Do you suppose there is a Guinness World Record for Most Elapsed Time to Create a Queen-Size Double Wedding Ring Quilt?

I'm definitely in the running.
