Très chic, oui ?

The Merry Stitcher is pleased to announce the birth of her first sweater! It's bulky. It's big. It's a bit boxy. It may never leave the confines of my house. But, it's definitely cozy and comfortable.

The pattern is 3X Chic. (That's "three times chic"...not XXXL) The yarn is Bernat Soft Boucle "Slate Shades". The front and back are ribbed. The sleeves are simple stockinette. The pattern was very easy, and the yarn was most forgiving. (It hides a multitude of errors.) I have a lot to learn about maintaining gauge, me thinks. This sweater got really big, really fast!

Now that I have my first sweater under my belt, I'm yearning for just the right yarn to make another. For now, this one will be my favorite. After all, it's my first.
