Roman Shades: Before and After

This is as close as I can get to my own show on HGTV!

The Big Roman Shade is done and installed. (Big thanks to The Happy Capitalist for his help with the latter.) While I'll admit it looks better than sterile mini blinds, I'm not very merry about how the second shade turned out. It's "wavy" and doesn't hang straight. That might get a bit better after it hangs for awhile, but I don't know. The weave in this fabric isn't straight. And, that caused problems all along the way. (And now I know why it was just $2 a yard.)

How they make stuff like this on Trading Spaces in just two days is beyond me!
