Seams To Me

I find the thought of joining two pieces of knitted fabric together encouraging, even inspiring. It's an indication that a piece is nearing completion.
While the thought of it is fun, the action of seaming is -- for me, anyway -- a real drag.
Sweater #2 has reached its final stages. The knitting is finished, each piece is blocked and seaming is underway. And, I just can't seem to get it all done.
It's painstaking. It's tedious. It's seems like these seams will never end.
Maybe this crisp March Saturday will provide the inspiration I need to get this thing finished. The forecast calls for a chance of snow this evening. (And, that's a rare occurrence around here.) With fresh memories of lounging at the Ahwahnee, wouldn't it be great to sit at home by the fire tonight wearing a new sweater made of alpaca, silk and a touch of cashmere?
Time for me to get stitchin'!
