My First Sweater

Here in the Bay Area, Summer can be the coldest time of the year. Recent chilly foggy evenings (we call it "June Gloom" around here.) have inspired me to work on my first sweater.

Actually, so far it's a ribbed rectangle. (Lovely, isn't it?) I'm a couple of inches away from starting the shoulder shaping. (Something I've never done.) We'll see how that goes! Advice and insight always welcome!!!

The pattern is called "3x chic". Actually just a little chic will be fine with me.
The yarn is Bernat Soft Boucle. Got it cheap and on sale at Micheal's. Perfect for a first sweater. Or, so I hope.

  • Vavoom -- Sure, I'll get right on it. It'll be my second sweater, and a perfect opportunity to combine my knitting and quilting skills. What kind of needles do you suppose you need to work with kevlar?
