Meet My Iron

Back to the business of quilting. Work on the DWR continues. While non-quilters might think quilting is about cutting and sewing, sometimes it's mostly about ironing. This is one of those times. I'm pressing the arcs...all 12 billion of them. It's quite mindless work, but I'm knocking them off 10 or 20 at a time. It all reminds me of the most important lesson this quilt is teaching me: Patience.

Boy, that's one gnarly looking ironing board cover, isn't it? If your ironing board is covered with starch stains, thread bits and burnt applique gunk, you must be a quilter! (I do have a very clean small ironing board I very occasionally use for clothes. Only when I have to!)
