Happy New Year's Eve Eve

Same story, different holiday. It's the night before the night before New Year's Day. We're home from our holiday travels....finally: A 5-hour flight that was supposed to be just three; leaving temps in the upper 60s and arriving in a cold soaking rain. Needless to say, our last day of holiday travel was a long one.

What a week it has been. Our thoughts and prayers have been with the hundreds of thousands of people in the Indian Ocean coastal communities. The pictures and stories are unbelievable. We just checked in with friends who moved recently from Sumatra. They've heard nothing from their friends and colleagues. I can't imagine. My hopes and prayers for them and so many others is that no news is good news.

The cold rain is absolutely perfect quilting weather! I'm eager to get back onto my projects. Some old. Some new. All to be chronicled here. Until then, we have a celebratory dinner for four to prepare for tomorrow night, where we'll ring in the new year.

Until then, Happy New Year's Eve Eve!
